The Role of Teachers and Families in Character Development Among Students

Character education is essential for shaping individuals with integrity, particularly in the context of ongoing moral challenges. This study examines the roles of teachers and parents, as well as their collaboration, in fostering students’ character development. Employing a qualitative library research approach, data were collected through literature review, observations, and interviews. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, while analysis was conducted using an interactive model. The findings indicate that character formation is strongly influenced by consistent role modeling from both parents and teachers. Strategic collaboration, facilitated by effective communication and alignment of values between formal and informal environments, contributes to the establishment of a robust educational ecosystem. This partnership helps prevent dualistic moral standards and supports the sustainable development of positive character in children.
